My Journey

Alice, originally from Tokyo, brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to the world of wine and gastronomy. After beginning her career in banking, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of working in the culinary and wine industries.

 

Her journey began with completing the prestigious program at the Académie du Vin Tokyo, an institution originally established in Paris. She further honed her expertise by graduating from the Wine Education and Management program at UCLA. Armed with this foundation, Alice embarked on a career dedicated to the art and business of wine.

Alice gained invaluable experience in public relations and event management for wineries, collaborating with winemakers and industry professionals from around the globe. She later became the lead sommelier at a prominent Beverly Hills restaurant, where she managed an extensive wine program featuring 700 selections and over 3,000 bottles. During her tenure, she helped the restaurant earn Wine Spectator's "Best of Award of Excellence" and deepened her expertise in wine service and curation.

 

Currently, Alice works as a freelance wine consultant, educator, and writer. She holds prestigious certifications, including the Court of Master Sommeliers and WSET, among others.

 

Alice's commitment to the world of wine remains steadfast as she continues to share her knowledge and passion through her work.
